This seems Apocalyptic to me. I never imagined that this could even happen in the United States.

It's very impressive (and scary for the people there), but not apocalyptic. That same kind of thing happened in America's Midwest during the 1930's:

A quick study of the bible would show that this is not apocalyptic. SDA's need to do a better job of educating their followers.
