Eugene, I could only smile when I saw that picture of Pres Bush morph into Hitler. My understanding of modern day politics is that whether the political right or left is in power, we're headed for disaster. On the extreme conservative side we have the so-called religious right who will be the ones pressuring our law makers for a national Sunday law. In the meantime, the far left is opening the flood doors for all manner of evil to come in under the banners of tolerance and diversity.
I personally think that Hillary Clinton will be our next president. Hey, a woman started this mess, and a woman just may end it (by signing the death decree into law). But seriously, we can see what spirit is in control of both parties in Washington. The angels, however, are still holding back the winds of strife; but I don't see how that can last much longer.
As I see the total mess in today's political arena, I am also witnessing chaos in most, if not all, religious groups. Mormons have always been a regimented religious group with high standards, but living in Utah I have learned that large numbers of them smoke, drink, and indulge in incest and spousal abuse in percentages far higher than the national average. The Muslim world can't live in peace with their neighbors. The enemy of souls is literally running around like "a roaring lion...seeking whom he may devour." 1 Peter 5:8. In the parable of the ten virgins, a time came when all ten fell asleep. I just pray that when the call goes out that "the bridegroom cometh," I will have enough oil in my lamp.
The events of 911 and the subsequent war on terror, the tsunami in Indochina, Hurricane Katrina, earthquakes in divers places, and volcanic eruptions--all happening over such a short period of time--I believe should be a wakeup call to us all that time is short. But many sleep on.
I think the next major occurance that will awaken us from our slumber will be the national Sunday law. Many Sabbath-keepers will panic at that point and head for the hills. But some will go back into the cities because they know that the Loud Cry must go forth.
I bookmarked that site www.theocracywatch.org so I can keep an eye on what the religious right is up to, such as Justice Sundays.
The only good thing that I can see in all of the chaos within the religious world is that every day brings us one day closer to return of Jesus. I never thought He would delay His return this long.

There is no question in my mind that you are absolutely wrong about that. According to Scripture, before the mark of the beast becomes law, the false prophet power must first deceive the whole world by performing undeniable miracles like calling down a miraculous fire from heaven to earth in everyone's view (Revelation 13:13-14).
For a spectacular preview of the very near future, consider what the false prophet is already saying about the satanic fire that he has prophesied will be under his control.
I think the great miricles that the second beast performed is waaaay on its way. Ask any economist and you will understand the United States to be a miracle economy. It produces nothing of value, it imports everything of value and buys it with paper dollars or digits, and then it borrows these dollars back from the buyers. The magic is that everybody is so dilluded and deceived to think that USA is the "greatest economy" in the world that they gladly lend it and people spend. If you do a study on US debt it is one of the most incredible subject and it is one of the ways Satan got people by their necks. It's quite the opposite for what God wanted for his "model nation"... which is another dellusion:
"At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release of debts. And this is the form of the release: Every creditor who has lent anything to his neighbor shall release it; he shall not require it of his neighbor or his brother, because it is called the LORD's release" (Deuteronomy 15:1-2).
"...the borrower is a slave to the lender" (Proverbs 22:7).
Can a man have two masters? It always facinates me here as far as the responce of ther people to the fall of the Babylon. They don't miss her because they liked her, but they liked her because they were economically dependent:
3For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
9"When the kings of the earth who committed adultery with her and shared her luxury see the smoke of her burning, they will weep and mourn over her. 10Terrified at her torment, they will stand far off and cry:
" 'Woe! Woe, O great city,
O Babylon, city of power!
In one hour your doom has come!'
11"The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargoes any more— 12cargoes of gold, silver, precious stones and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk and scarlet cloth; every sort of citron wood, and articles of every kind made of ivory, costly wood, bronze, iron and marble; 13cargoes of cinnamon and spice, of incense, myrrh and frankincense, of wine and olive oil, of fine flour and wheat; cattle and sheep; horses and carriages; and bodies and souls of men.
14"They will say, 'The fruit you longed for is gone from you. All your riches and splendor have vanished, never to be recovered.' 15The merchants who sold these things and gained their wealth from her will stand far off, terrified at her torment. They will weep and mourn 16and cry out:
" 'Woe! Woe, O great city,
dressed in fine linen, purple and scarlet,
and glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls!
17In one hour such great wealth has been brought to ruin!'
I don't believe this passages are speaking about the fall of the Roman Empire. These destinctively talk about the fall of the Great Empire that does ALOT of buying. United States is an empire which is on a fast road to economic destruction. It is just a few steps away from it. Soviet Union fell down extremely fast for the same very reason, it could not sustain itself economically... because economically it was a lie.
Believe it or not, United States right now ironically is the most endebted nation in the world, yet we are hearing every day that everything is growing and going strong. The signs of the fall are already very near... as the kings of the earth have engaged in similar practices. So, don't think that it is too far away. The miracles are not necesserily have to be of spiritual manner. The whole existance and perpetuation of the system that US runs is utterly a miracle because people choose to believe that they are not living off somebody else... but they are :). And that's why US pays more in military spending than the rest of the world combined. It has to be able to dictate the economic terms, otherwise no-one would except these, but other countries will not except it for a long time.
I believe that the call is not only to come out of the church. Babylon is NOT just reffering to church here. It is VERY CLEAR. The call is to LEAVE THE SYSTEM that Babylon has become with its center in the US.
In her heart she boasts,
'I sit as queen; I am not a widow,
and I will never mourn.'
Ask people on the street what they are thinking about US right now and how long it will be. Especially the "patriots".
4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
It's pretty amusing to hear the talk of us as adventists urging other people to leave the non-adventist churches. BABYLON IS NOT A CHURCH PRIMARILY! Church does not sell things. It is a political-economic-religious union. It's a state with religious backing and Can you be separate from this union while you are a citizen? Adventist Church itself is in heavy entanglement of cooperation with corrupted US government which in fact is a huge part of the Babylon system... so it is guilty just as any other church IMO. I'm just curious about your thoughts here. Not all of the leaders are "elected by God". They may be allowed by God to rule, and I believe it to be the more proper of the view of what Paul meant in reguards to governments.
So, if you look carefully... the beast IS WAAY on the way of deceiving the whole world. Many nations accept the US role as the empire and the "necessary evil". You don't have to go to far to realize it... just dig a bit deeper inside your mind and what you believe and you will be astonished to conclusions you will come up with and the ramifications of these. Our relation to the state is of subordination and paying of the tribute that only serves to deceive and entangle more people into this vicious Matrix of the system. Pastors are now being trained to calm the dissent in case of martial law.
I don't believe that by the "WHOLE WORLD" the Bible means the every person in the world. It means the majority IMO. It already has happened. The majority is deceived. That's why they are thriving to join/immigrate to US instead of running away as far as possible. I don't think you should join the anti-us or anti-war movement. Protesting is worthless, but protesting by the way of leaving is the best one... and I believe this is what the Revelation is speaking about and I am planning to leave the US very soon for that very reason. The warning here is pretty clear. As in original call of Jews to physically leave Babylon, today the call is the same. Jews grew accustomed to the lavish ways of Babylonians. God through called them out back to the Jerusalem to rebuid God's true church. But many grew too accustomed to the country's traditions and way of life. Only a small REMNANT returned to Jerusalem. Many refused to leave the convinient worship styles that they were accustomed to. Although they might not have been a part of the Belshazzar's feast during the "writing on the wall" day. They suffered greatly because they did not hear the call of God to leave Babylon. If not for God's providence through Daniel and Esther on numerous occasions they would probably would be exterminated. So the call to leave is historically very prevelant. As in case of old Sodon and Gomora and old Babylon, so it is the case with the new Sodom and Gomora and new Babylon.
