Hello one and all,
I am Michael , and this is my first post. I hope to benefit using this messageboard, and hopefully benefit others. My first question is, why is the administrator of this messageboard (Eugene, is it?) calling himself "the new William Miller" and claiming new revelation ? Is he a God-called prophet or something like that? How does he prove this? Also, why are people labelled as they are by the administrator? Is it not fair to allow just the messages to speak for themselves? Just trying to understand as I join you. _________________ THE WORD IS MY SWORD AND SHIELD

Do you think of William Miller as a true prophet or a false prophet?
Hi Michael,
This ministry is supported by a religious, non-profit corporation in Texas that operates under section 501(c)(3) of the tax code. I have full administrative control of this messageboard but answer to a board of directors.
What's so amazing about possessing new light? I call myself 'the new William Miller' because of revelation I've received that vindicates William Miller's key insight on the meaning of Daniel 8:14. My commentary on the book of Daniel is accessible at this page and my Revelation summary is given here. Check out our Revelation forum for updates to more recent exegetical issues and recommendatory analyses.
I have never heard of anyone calling William Miller a prophet although he is often called a false prophet.
Your question about our identification of troublesome forum participants is answered in Romans 16:17 (NKJV) and is elaborated upon more fully in the thread, Forum ethics for categorizing members.
The Apostle Paul wrote:
Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. Romans 16:17 NKJV.
Your support from the Scriptures would be much more forceful if you quoted Romans 16:17 from Young's Literal Translation:
"And I call upon you, brethren, to mark those who the divisions and the stumbling-blocks, contrary to the teaching that ye did learn, are causing, and turn ye away from them" (Romans 16:17 YLT).
The rendering by the NKJV is excellent and is virtually identical to the KJV:
"Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them" (Romans 16:17 KJV).

Dzien,
The Greek word here translated mark simply means, take note of.
"Join with others in following my example, brothers, and take note of those who live according to the pattern we gave you." Philippians 3:17.
Thanks for your vote of confidence. The principles that govern this forum are Biblical. This is so obvious! The Apostle Paul openly commended those who followed the Biblical pattern (Philippians 1:1-11; Philemon 1:1-7; 2 Thessalonians 1:3-4) and openly censured those who didn't (1 Corinthians 5; Galatians 1:6-9; 1 Timothy 5:20).
Points taken. I was simply asking questions in order to understand what type of forum I am a part of. Will be ever cognizant of the knowledge I now have. I will begin to post soon, but I don't know about what yet. The forum is highly sophisticated however, and speaks favorably of the Net technology and its ability to minister. _________________ THE WORD IS MY SWORD AND SHIELD
