If you were the administrator of a forum, and if you could get away with it, do you think it would be ethical for you to catagorize every visitor, (pitting one against another by putting little ID tags under their names and flattering the ones that agree with you by giving them "special" names), by way of your own opinion and interpretation of them and throwing them in jail if they didn't immediately start worshipping you?
The way you put it Hanifa I would say the answer is no. Hopefully that isn't their intention here. For it is written....
Philippians 2:3 [Let] nothing [be done] through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. _________________ Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

When I was little, my mother used to tell me, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions."
Intentions are merely one factor in the equation of a man's character.
What a man "intends" to do is simply what he puts his determination into. A man may "intend" to uphold liberty when agreeing to go to war but what he is actually doing is murdering sons, husbands and fathers. The spirit of "intending to do good" has wrought the same evil in the earth as "intending" to do harm.
Only my Father knows what the "intention" of the administration of this forum is in doing the things that they do but one thing is for sure, all will be revealed in His time.
I see what you are saying concerning intentions, but these things you mention of the Administration don't seem like major problems. I think if you tried you could easily overlook them, yet it is your right to speak against whatever you wish. Just my thoughts. _________________ Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
I see nothing unethical or unbiblical in the following characterizations:
But Saul, who was also known as Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, fixed his gaze on him, and said, "You who are full of all deceit and fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease to make crooked the straight ways of the Lord?" Acts 13:9-10.
1 Timothy 1:19-20; 1 Corinthians 5; Jude 10-16.
"Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting; for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds." 2 John 9-11.
Here's a valid, scriptural test. If a religious group teaches that Jesus Christ lives in New Mexico and is visiting the earth as an animated corpse, then is it fair to label that group a religious cult?
Hanifa: It seems that our jail forum disturbs you. Please realize the metaphorical significance of all our forum categories:
"This 7-layered SDA forum mimics the actual universe. The world forum is for down-to-earth topics. Angels proclaim the gospel from the Midheaven forums. Dignitaries promote their issues in the High Mountain forums. The Battle of Armageddon forum is for spiritual war. Heaven is for order, hell disorder."
In other words, you're overreacting. This is a virtual, makebelieve world. If you wish to participate, then realize that there are respectable rules that govern this universe.
Posted: Thu Apr 08, 2004 8:53 am Post subject: Your statement about "animated corpse" is correct
Heaven is a real place, not virtual and make-believe. All that takes place here, in this visible universe, is a manifestation of what takes place in the spiritual, unseen world. As above, so below. One is not separate from the other. A man's deeds and heart condition are real. All he says and does, including the secrets of his heart that no one sees but he and Father, are recorded and communicated to the entire host of heaven.
There are no categorizers in heaven. No accusers of the brethren. But here in heaven abides the Spirit of Truth who sees what is and what is not of my Father. Mockery, disrespect, flattery......these things are not of God.
Your statement about "animated corpse" is a correct one.
I have no personal disturbance in being labeled and put into "jail".
"But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake. Luke 21:12
I just see the spirit of the adversary doing his work. The immorality you refer to in your last sentence is not in the philosophy, it is in the spirit that governs it.
