hey,
it's me. Chantale. Having another little problem with the site. Why is there a courtroom:( We are christian. We are NOT to judge others:(
I don't wanna be in a forum where there's a courtroom!!
The only courtroom I wanna be in is the one when God comes back!
Where Jesus is going to be my advocate!!! YEY!! If Jesus Christ is with me.. who shall be against me! :)
but for now, I don't think it's that much having a "courtroom" as a forum,
we should have "in need of prayers" or "fellowship" forums instead, where the main goal would be to talk and lift each other up instead of utting each other down in a "courtroom"!! What do think Eugene?? Do you like my idea?
Let me know!

Chantale,

The subtitle to the courtroom explains its purpose: “Courtroom: For moral issues that can be resolved by Scripture, inspired counsel or forum rules. This is the place for serious dispute resolution in a courtroom setting.”

Also, a courtroom for Christians is Biblical. The Apostle Paul said:

Quote:
If any of you has a dispute with another, dare he take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the saints? Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, appoint as judges even men of little account in the church! I say this to shame you. Is it possible that there is nobody among you wise enough to judge a dispute between believers? But instead, one brother goes to law against another—and this in front of unbelievers! 1 Corinthians 6:1-6.

There’s plenty of room for fellowship in the Green Valley forum (Picnic Area). If that place is too sacred and elevating for you and need something less reverent, try the Bottomless Pit. That place is for ordinary chatter. Also, we have a Family Room with persons “in need of prayers.” That’s a Prayer Room by a different name. You are encouraged to be there, praying for and consoling those who are hurting.

You say you want to be in God’s courtroom. You mentioned elsewhere that you are a Seventh-day Adventist.

Ellen G. White wrote:
But if the sins of the people are passed over by those in responsible positions, His frown will be upon them, and the people of God, as a body, will be held responsible for those sins. Testimonies for the Church Volume Three, p. 265.

Did you know that Seventh-day Adventist leaders and laity approve, to a large degree, their church taking Christians to court? If Ellen White is a prophet, you should concern yourself with the actual sins that God is holding you responsible for and not the imaginary defects that you think you see in this forum.

Dear Chantale,

You posted your opening remark in the Courtroom. As stated, the Courtroom is “For moral issues that can be resolved by Scripture, inspired counsel or forum rules. This is the place for serious dispute resolution in a courtroom setting.”

I didn’t see why your comment merited a court hearing. Petitions filed in court generally have more seriousness attached to them. It was my judgment that your post belonged here, in the Subtle Misunderstanding forum. I regret that you can’t see all your replies from other people because they’re in “hell.” Just curious: How do you know they have replied?

Chantale,

It sounds to me that you started a respectable thread and then received responses that were moved to the bottomless pit. You’re free to copy your post to the pit and continue your discussion down there, if you find value in the posts and the people with that label.

Frankly, I think you’re complaining too much about the name of a virtual place. I’d much rather go to a virtual jail than to a real jail. If I call one forum the leper colony or the misfits or the untouchables or hell, why should you care? Who should be alarmed by my opinion?

When the majority of Seventh-day Adventist leaders and laity approve of lawsuits by the church against brethren, that is the judgment of the entire Seventh-day Adventist church against their own prophet who labels their evil deed as Christ being crucified afresh and put to open shame.

I think there’s a big difference between Jesus telling a few church authorities that they are of their father the devil and the church leadership crucifying Jesus.
