I don't understand what you mean by this: "I noticed you have the entire chapter 13 on "Jesus at the Passover" by Frederic Farrar."
I was refering to this page on your website: See this link
It sounds like you will have lots of reading ahead!
Always exciting to get new books! I think the more books on the Life of Christ one reads (the ones EGW appreciated because they contained truth) the more one will see they have "similarities" to each other--soon you won't know which one she supposedly "copied" from-- it could be this one or that one, or the next one!
As to William Hanna, I was just wondering WHICH book, or books by him did Ellen White actually have.
I have a single volume by William Hanna, called "Our Lord's Life on Earth" In it's Prefatory Note it says:
The author of this "Life of our Lord" died in London on May 24th 1882." The book "Our Lord's Life on Earth" is an abridgment of the six volume work, made into one volume by Hanna himself to make the "Life of our Lord" available to more readers.
The 6 Vol, set of "The Life of Our Lord"
Vol. 1 The Earlier Years of our Lord,
2. The Minsitry in Galilee
3. The Close of the Ministry
4. The Passion Week
5. The Last Day of Our Lord's Passion
6. Forty Days after the Resurrection.
So is the William Hanna's "Life of Christ" different from the above?
Well-- in this link you quote from Hanna's "Life of Christ"
Yes, that is in the book "Our Lord's Life on Earth" as well-- on page 200-- word for word!
And guess what -- they even spelled "wild" correctly in this book which is about 120 years old! (1882)
I really would like to know WHICH book EGW had in her library by him.
Maybe the book I have is the same but revised-- after all they spelled "wild" correctly while in the 1871 "Life of Christ" it was "will".

Hmmm, completely forgot that I even did it! Now I wonder where I got it from!

That's exactly what Dr. Veltman noted to me in our phone conversation.

I'm not sure I'll check to see what I can find out.

Based on the evidence I have at hand and that others have provided I have updated the following chapters of Desire of Ages: 10, 13-4, 24, 37, and I'm working on chapter 46-and of course here we're working on chapter 75(?).

I have been working on Chapter 10--re-doing some aspects of it. I have now noted the EGW sentences numerically and refer to her alleged source alphabetically.
I'll get to your work on chapter 75 ASAP; just did a quick check--I loved the comparison with Forlines book! One suggestion: use the same color scheme on the Bible Gospel passages as well. On the "fourth" page your spell checker let "forth" get by.
Recently, I dealt with one of the critics who claimed that EGW copied "large amounts" from Conybeare and Howson in making her book Sketches from the Life of Paul. I had tried to look at that once before but found C-H's book hard to follow. So, I asked the critics if he could provide any examples. Instead he immediately resorted to labeling me an "apologist"--so do Bible critics, same spiritual father motivating both?
I have noted that it was impossible for EGW to have copied "large amounts" from Conybeare and Howson in making her book Sketches from the Life of Paul--this can be readily verified by noting the sheer number of pages in both books--C-H's is over twice the length--and the size of the pages of the books--the pages in C-H's book are twice the size of those in EGW's book.
He also claimed that EGW was violating the copyrights of the day--but, his own evidence showed that EGW wrote her book 3 years after the copyright on C-H's book ran out!

On chapter 10 I need just two more books and I'll be completely finished: the one mentioned above by Kitto and Geore Jones's "Life Scenes from the Gospels."

I just "finished" editing chapter 24 of Desire of Ages--I need one more book. I linked all 25 sentences in DA with that of EGW's alleged sources. See this link for the results.
