I do think it is perversion to play upon words which are fixed in meaning. "Equal" means just that, and to say "infinity comes in sizes", is a vain attempt to pretend one can measure infinity. Anything less than all the Father is is NOT "equal" with Him; it would be like saying Jesus has the smaller half of equal divinity. How heretical? However, spiritual discernment recognizes that all modes of operation demand leadership, even in the Godhead, but still (paradoxically) maintains equality, just like husband and wives. Finally, let me say that Jesus is equal with the Father, not just becuase he was declared as such, but because he really is such by nature (natuaral trasmission, or inheritance). That was why Jesus acknowkledged Thomas' testimony of faith in John 20:28,29, calling Him "HO theos mou" (notice the definate article) or "THE God of me" literally in Greek. Only the Spirit of anti-Christ would espouse the view that Jesus being subordinate, means His infinity is less in size than that of the Father's. He was less than the Father ONLY as a man (limited even in knowledge THEN of when he would return to earth), but (paradoxically) as God he is fully equal with Him, "to the infinity" Mrs. White said. Truth must be spoken untempered, or undiluted. God bless. _________________ Derrick Gillespie (First labelled "SDA", THEN, "Pseudo-SDA", and then "Impolite". What label next?)

The only pretense in this thread is your vain attempt to speak on a topic for which you are totally ignorant. It's a rather ordinary thing for students of mathematics to prove and understand that "infinities come in different sizes."

Are you presupposing that Scripture says that Jesus is "equal" to the Father or is your assumption based upon the writings of Ellen G. White?

Your spiritual discernment isn't as discerning as you think it is. It's extraordinarily clear that women became subject to their husbands only after the fall (Genesis 3:16). Evidently, sinless coequals can coexist in paradise.

It only takes a single verse to refute your error.
"Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. But not everyone knows this." 1 Corinthians 8:6-7.

Your intellectual arrogance is evident for all to see. What, may I ask, is to be gained in debating with someone who thinks he can solve the mysteries of divinity, and the Godhead, by applying mathematical equations? Nothing!!! God, and divine nature cannot hold in our scientific test tubes. It is an insult to divinity to think otherwise. In Christ dwells ALLthe fulness of the GODHEAD bodily, that is, by nature. I think that equates to equality with the Father's divinity, which is not the same as Christians being filled with fulness of God by the indwelling Spirit. Can your mathematics handle that truth? I wonder. Peace.
