Return, we beseech You, O God of hosts; Look down from heaven and see, And visit this vine And the vineyard which Your right hand has planted, And the branch that You made strong for Yourself. It is burned with fire, it is cut down; They perish at the rebuke of Your countenance. Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, Upon the son of man whom You made strong for Yourself. Then we will not turn back from You; Revive us, and we will call upon Your name. Restore us, O LORD God of hosts; Cause Your face to shine, And we shall be saved! Psalm 80:14-19

Many of God’s people are just being religious and are not greatly blessed by God because they don’t heed His voice or walk in His ways and as a result He didn’t subdue their enemies and turn His hand against their enemies. He doesn’t feed them with the finest of wheat or satisfy them with honey from the rock. Instead He has given them over their stubborn heart to walk in their own counsels for God’s word is true:

"Hear, O My people, and I will admonish you! O Israel, if you will listen to Me! There shall be no foreign god among you; Nor shall you worship any foreign god. I am the LORD your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. "But My people would not heed My voice, And Israel would have none of Me. So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart, To walk in their own counsels.

"Oh, that My people would listen to Me, That Israel would walk in My ways! I would soon subdue their enemies, And turn My hand against their adversaries. The haters of the LORD would pretend submission to Him, But their fate would endure forever. He would have fed them also with the finest of wheat; And with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you." Psalm 81:8-16

It’s a fact that many of God’s people get to heaven and they will see how things could have been different they will cry many tears of sadness because of the way things could have been so different. So while they still have a chance many should seek the Lord and cry out to Him now to restore and change things in their life and land while they still have a chance.
