The righteous is delivered from trouble, And it comes to the wicked instead. Proverbs 11:8
To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice. A haughty look, a proud heart, And the plowing of the wicked are sin. Proverbs 21:3-4
Wise King Solomon who obtained from the Lord just for the asking much wisdom as well as wealth, honor and fame told all to obtain above all wisdom and understanding from the Lord. She is life to those who keep her. A man must not to forsake wisdom but to love her for she will preserve and keep the man who finds it! She will bring him honor and the years of his life will be many. When he walks, his steps will not be hindered, and when he run, he will not stumble. She will bring health and wealth to those who find her. God’s word is true:
My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you, So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, And find the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice, And preserves the way of His saints. Then you will understand righteousness and justice, Equity and every good path. Proverbs 2:1-9
Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding; For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, And her gain than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies, And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her. Length of days is in her right hand, In her left hand riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, And all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who retain her. Proverbs 3:13-18
Yes, God freely give to His children the same wisdom by which He founded the earth and the understanding by which He established the heavens. But a fool has no delight in understanding, only in expressing his own heart (Proverbs 18:2). God by wisdom formed heaven and earth and sustains it. Hence it’s very imperative that above all His children seek and find His wisdom for whoever finds her gets life and who hate it get death. God’s word is true:
"Now therefore, listen to me, my children, For blessed are those who keep my ways. Hear instruction and be wise, And do not disdain it. Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoever finds me finds life, And obtains favor from the LORD; But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; All those who hate me love death." Proverbs 8:32-36
The good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ is because of Calvary and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit all of God’s children can have on them the same anointing and wisdom that Solomon and Jesus had. The bible records:
And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore. Thus Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the men of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all men-than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the surrounding nations. He spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs were one thousand and five. Also he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree of Lebanon even to the hyssop that springs out of the wall; he spoke also of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and of fish. And men of all nations, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom, came to hear the wisdom of Solomon. Proverbs 4:29-34
And when He had come to His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, "Where did this Man get this wisdom and these mighty works? Matthew 13:54
And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him. Luke 2:40
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. Luke 2:52
Jesus Christ was not born with wisdom but became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him. He increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. And He received great wisdom and power when He was anointed by His Father God at the river Jordan. And so can each child of God receive the same anointing from God for every good gift comes from their heavenly Father. God’s word is true:
There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist. Isaiah 11:1-5
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:2-8
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. James 1:17 |
