Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage. So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them. Exodus 2:23-25

And the LORD said: "I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. "So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites. Exodus 3:7-8

The American Heritage dictionary defines bondage as:
bond•age n. 1. The state of one who is bound as a slave or serf. 2. A state of subjection to a force, a power, or an influence.

In Egypt. the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage who came down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites. So God miraculously deliver them from their bondage, spoiled them with the wealth of Egypt, destroyed their enemies and brought them to a land of promise, a land of plenty and abundance?

So where do some fools get off believing that any form of bondage, spiritual, physical or financial is the will of God? It is not! God may allow bondage for a while but His ultimate purpose is to deliver His people from all forms of bondages. His word is unchanging:

You who fear the LORD, praise Him! All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him, And fear Him, all you offspring of Israel! For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from Him; But when He cried to Him, He heard. Psalm 22:23-24

The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34:17-19

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, Blessed is the man who trusts in You! Psalm 84:11-12

It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil. Isaiah 10:27

If God be for us who or what can be against us? Jesus is preeminent in our life so why should we be bound by any form of bondage, force, power or influence? We should not because God has made us kings and priests and all grace to abound toward us. We can have a sufficient supply in every area of our lives. Jesus became poor on the cross so we could be rich. Prosperity is part of the atonement and our spiritual right. Hence we can resist lack and poverty in Jesus name. We don’t have to live below our covenant rights. We can be prosperous and successful and more than a conqueror. We can be filled with blessings from God, all the spiritual and natural blessings (Deuteronomy 28:1-14, Malachi 3:10, John 10:10, 3 John 1:2).

Many of God’s people accept that the Bible is a book of debt cancellation. They sing about how Jesus has forgiven our sins, our spiritual debt:

He Paid A Debt

He paid a debt he did not owe,
I owed a debt I could not pay.
I needed someone to wash my sins away.
And now I sing a brand new song,
"Amazing Grace" all day long,
Christ Jesus paid a debt that I could never pay.

But many of God's people don’t believe that God has paid on Calvary all our debts that we owed including our natural debts, our financial debt? They don’t understand they should deal with financial debt the same way they dealt with spiritual debt, because the root of financial debt is spiritual. -- It is an attack of the enemy.

Jesus wants us to be abundantly supplied. Somebody who is abundantly supplied would never get into debt. There is no debt in heaven or sickness, therefore we have the authority to declare our debts or sickness to be unlawful here on earth.

Many believe that one day in heaven they will be healed of every sickness and be debt free but not today here on earth! Now this doesn’t make sense at all? They have great faith for tomorrow but none for today where they are living; even though God is not bound by space and time, is in the now of their lives and the battle belongs to the Lord. But Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and for ever a miracle working God and He will perform miracles for those who believe. He will fight for them. He will revive their bodies again and restore all that they had lost just as He did for Job (Job 42:10-17, James 5:11). He who raised Lazarus from death will help them as well. He will lift them up from the valley of the shadow of death. He will fulfill His promise:

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever. Psalm 23:1-6

Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, And the sons of the foreigner Shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. But you shall be named the priests of the LORD, They shall call you the servants of our God. You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, And in their glory you shall boast. Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs. "For I, the LORD, love justice; I hate robbery for burnt offering; I will direct their work in truth, And will make with them an everlasting covenant. Their descendants shall be known among the Gentiles, And their offspring among the people. All who see them shall acknowledge them, That they are the posterity whom the LORD has blessed." Isaiah 61:5-9

It’s interesting to me that the old covenant was a covenant of prosperity and the new covenant is a covenant of adversity.

“In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” 2 Timothy 3:12.

“I tell you the truth,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life.” Mark 10:29-30.

You words are contradictory. You talk about prosperity being part of the old testament while Jesus talks about prosperity being part of the new testament. It appears you have been receiving persecutions but not hundredfold now in this time houses, lands and things! Is it because you are not seeking the kingdom of God that God is not adding all the other things to you?

MT 5:10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
5:11 "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
5:12 "Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

MT 6:32 "For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Luke 12:30 "For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things.
12:31 "But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.
12:32 "Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
