Does anyone think that the

2nd seal was ww1
3rd the great depression
4th ww2
6th somehting to do with the moon landing

3rd trumpet chernobyl accident Chernobyl means something like wormwood
5th trumpet gulf war saddam means something like Abaddon and Apollyon
Some of the soldiers were given injections for insect diseases and other things that made them sick, they could have something to do with the locusts with scorpion tails.
6th attack on America four aircraft: The powerful destructive force of the planes and buildings could have something to do with fire, smoke and brimstone coming out of the horses mouths of the large army. People from a fair few nations were killed in the attacks, that could have had something to do with a third of mankind. I took it not to mean a third of the worlds population but maybe people from different races or countries or something.

Does anyone think that any of this is right?

Jasen
Revelation is a very broad picture of the history of mankind and God's dealings with him. Surely John the Apostle didn't just have the 21 st century in mind when he wrote down the events of the seals and trumpet judgments. Even the reign of the beast which is both civil and Papal covers some 1800 years. But don't feel to badly though. because modern day futurists like Tim LaHaye make the whole of Revelation to fit in a short span of only seven years.
To get a good idea of the TIME SPAN of Revelation, you must first compare the images of the Revelation with similar images in the bible, such as found in Daniel chapter 7 and see who and what they represent. If these beast powers were in existence for a great length of time then you can rest assured the people and events surrounding these beasts, also are involved in that same time period. Hope this helps.

Dear Jason,
(1) It is important to catch the connection between Daniel and the Revelation for only then can one really get a glimpse of its reality.
(2) The second point is that, in this world there are an enormous number of Churches and any number of them can assist with drafting up the ultimate understanding of every text in them both.
(3) For a very clear understanding of what Christians of all ages came to understand with unequalled clarity, I recommend the volumnes, "The Prophetic Faith of our Fathers" by Edwin Froom. In those volumnes he placed prophetic charts which show the progressive understanding throughout the ages of the Christian Church. They are definitive by any standards.
Sincerely,
Ross

Ross there is only one place I know that Edwin Froom’s books can be put to good use by end time people looking for the true guideposts so as to get off this planet alive. If out in their mountain cabin on a cold wet day and need to build a fire to keep warm they need to tear out the spurious pages of his books and use as kindling & stay warm until someone arrives with a present truth bible message.

“I saw that God had especially guarded the Bible; yet when copies of it were few, learned men had in some instances changed the words, thinking that they were making it more plain, when in reality they were mystifying that which was plain, by causing it to lean to their established views, which were governed by tradition. But I saw that the Word of God, as a whole, is a perfect chain, one portion linking into and explaining another. True seekers for truth need not err; for not only is the Word of God plain and simple in declaring the way of life, but the Holy Spirit is given as a guide in understanding the way to life therein revealed. { EW 220 .2}
What we as Adventist see being taught as bible truth on Revelations messages from satellite dishes going to the world’s masses is confusion & mystifying to sincere bible students, but to those presenting these canned messages from just a few men’s minds have taught their canned messages for so long in faith & in practice it has become a truth to them!
