If you were Pope and President of the United States—and if you could get away with it—do you think it would be ethical for you to threaten all the Moslem nations with total nuclear annihilation if they didn’t immediately start worshiping the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit?
Only if it is ethical for other people to murder us because we don't follow their gods. Jesus is our example, and how many unbelieving Pharisees did he strike down in his path? _________________ Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Never! "lead by example", what kind of an exapmle is that? It would also be very hypocritical. We are punishing them because they practiced Religious Persecution. Well, thats one of the reasons. Besides, You could not assemble the nations into only Moslem, you would be forced to kill some Christian followers as well _________________ im o expert, but...

Of course not. The Gospel is not about coertion or force, it's about love. Christ never forced anyone to accept anything, nor did He kill anyone. Threats have no place in His Gospel, nor does conquest. In the last day we will be called upon to account for our own lives and no one else's testimonies or actions will be able to help us. If we force others to accept Christ we rob them of their free will, and that's the ony thing that seperates us from the animals; God has given us the right to say, "NO."

You have all answered correctly. It would be unethical. But how is that injustice any different than the edict of the Roman Emperor Theodosius in 380 AD forcing everyone to accept the Trinity?
Here's the edict of Theodosius:
"It is Our rule that all the peoples we rule shall practice that religion which divine Peter the Apostle transmitted to the Romans. We shall believe in the single deity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, under the concept of the Holy Trinity. We command that all persons that follow this rule shall embrace the name of Catholic Christians. The rest, however, whom We judge demented and insane, shall sustain the infamy of heretical dogmas, their meeting places shall not receive the name of churches, and they shall be smitten first by divine vengeance and secondly by the retribution of Our own initiative, which We shall assume in accordance with divine judgment."
i agree with dan, God does not want his people to serve out of fear but out of love and if something like that was put into effect it would make true conversion of not only muslim but any other religion near impossible

No it would not be ethical..
human life is sacred
killing is wrong
But if i were the pope and the president.. I bet I could make some wonders happen, cause I really think the world could benefit greatly from some compassion and forgiveness/understanding from high ranking leaders, just to set an example as you say..
and you cant force someone to believe in something, cause I believe god connects us all through the same mechanism in our head/body..
everyone just interprets things in their own way, the feeling of belief is still of the same source _________________ dancing to the tune of love on the green hills of eternity
