A Reform-minded Seventh-day Adventist forum In our aim to exalt everything important, first and foremost, we seek to promote a clear understanding of Daniel, Revelation, the three angels' messages and the alpha and omega of apostasy.
If the Father is the "only true God' (which He is, and you assent to it), then is it not wrong and heretical to refer to God's Son as "God the Son" and to the Holy Spirit as "God the Spirit"? If so, why? And if not, why not?

It’s always wrong to speak words that aren’t helpful, loving or doctrinally correct. Conceivably, a critic may be technically correct in the statements he makes yet he may be speaking for Satan and not for God.
I believe that doctrinal error can be placed on a descending scale: from a reasonable misunderstanding to destructive heresies. Because the phrase, “God the Son” and “God the Spirit” isn’t in the Bible but refer instead to a Trinitarian formula that is likewise not found in the Bible, I say we shouldn’t use those phrases.
Our own words and judgments have no power. On the topic of the Godhead I say we should stick to the affirmative and let the word of God speak for itself. www.everythingimportant.org/Godhead

I would agree. Now, expanding on that question to include your belief that doctrinal error can be placed on a descending scale; from reasonable misunderstanding to destructive heresy, where on that scale would you place the aforementioned non-Biblical phrases, i.e., "God the Son" and "God the Spirit"?

I have said that consistent preterism is damnable heresy. And I am absolutely sure that the many Seventh-day Adventists who have lovingly embraced the teachings of A. Graham Maxwell, have received deceitful spirits and things taught by demons. Yet, I don’t believe that I am authorized by the Lord to say that Trinitarianism is a heresy or to say that it’s not a heresy. If the Lord wants me to state His judgment on the matter, He will give me more light. But I do believe that the Seventh-day Adventists who are crying the loudest about the Trinity doctrine being a heresy are a fulfillment of prophecy.
