I have wread numerous EG White books and I still have doubts in my mind about the important role that she plays in church so please help me to clear out these issues and questions I have

1) Our Church and Adventists in general quote mrs. Whites writings as though they are Biblical quotes. Are her writings eqaul to those of the Bible? She herself claimed that she did not merely write her opinions on subject matter, but recorded what God has speaked through her. Is not this a pretty bold move to make? I thought what we have in Bible is complete. If Mrs. White writings point to Bible as claimes, then why do we need them? Are these the only correct way to interpret the Bible? Did she make any mistakes that she admitted making in her writings?

2) I've heard one member make this comment: " If not for her, this church would not exist" . THis is pretty sad comment IMO. The church not hangs by the word of God and his promices, but by what she said about it. What are your thoughts on this issue?

3) Today YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE BAPTISED!!!!! If you do not believe that EG Wite is a prophet. This is extra biblical! There is nowhere in the Bible that I should except this concept before I can be baptised. Can anybody clarify this to me? If your pastor would say to you that he can not baptise you because you don't believe that Martin Luther was a prophet from God.... what would you think of that church?

4) I am sure that many things mrs. White wrote are valid things and very valuable to our growth. I have been blessed by many points she is making in her writings. But I simply refuse to elevate her writings to those of the Bible to the point of refusing people Baptism.

I really would value any thoughts regarding this issue.

thank you in advance
