I'm looking for the scripture in the Bible that says something against repetitious prayer, saying the same prayer over & over.
Can someone help me on this, I can't seem to find it again in mine & need it to help a Catholic friend to see how using only the same prayers are futile.
Prayer comes from love, from the soul to speak to God, not something mumbled mindlessly while pulling a string of beads through fingertips & going through some trance almost. Of course I would never be this harsh to explain it to my friend but it's the way I see it.
