The has been a great deal of confusion [Babylon] from within SDAism, to have the various bodies [if you will, various churches], most especially during the Sabbath School Lessons, to see within their own bodies [church bodies], a complete failure to take upon ourselves those things that are being taught at Sabbath School. Over many years of attending the Adventist Church, especially throughout North America, I have found this to be true, but most especially, within the Canadian Churches, for in Canada, rather than go out to the people, and tell them of Jesus, there is no really healthy spiritual comeraderie even among ourselves. There's a tendency towards an "us and them mentality," and, of course, it's always "them," [goyim, i.e., the non-Adventist churches] who are the ones being spoken about within the Sabbath School Lessons! After all, it could not be "us," being spoken about in Ezekiel 8: 16:

"And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they [that is, we who are part of Laodicea] worshipped the sun toward the east," because we've come out of Babylon, and can never be Babylon -- right!
Why is it that when we hear these words: "Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come," (1Cor. 10: 11), we always fail of seeing that Paul is talking specifically to Laodicea, the Church in the last days, and because we fail of seeing this, of course, it has to be the other Christian denominations who are those we must help to see? That's not what those words mean, brothers & sisters: The failures of Israel and Judah, are there, so that Seventh-day Adventists won't fall into the same deep valleys of spiritual ignorance, and carnal inclination. This is what we must see, else we will all go into eternity, without Jesus having ever known us!

What is being seen on a weekly basis, is people who are literally being "destroyed by lack of knowledge," (Hosea 4: 6), coming together early on a Sabbath morning, to learn about the sins of the "other" churches! We have closed our eyes to our own great need -- our own filthiness of the flesh [love of the world], and whenever we see a truth from the Holy Spirit which is to bring us stronger spiritual vision, we miss it, because we fail of seeing He speaks of us, and our unworthiness! From within the Adventist Church, we, who are most especially of the North American Division, match perfectly that which is said of the Church of Laodicea:

"And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans [unto all of those people who say they are indeed the followers of Father Yahweh, in and through Jesus Christ] write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15: I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16: So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17: Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing
[because the truth is that you are a people who are very far from that which Yahweh would have of you, most especially given that you have been shown most all of the truths of Scripture, and therefore should not only be practising that which you know, but also spontaneously sharing it, {because it is no longer you each who are doing the living within your sinful flesh, but the Spirit of Christ Whom you have allowed to have all of you} which will add that element of "faith that works by agape" to your experience and your relating with people of the world]; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked [you're so lukewarm and worldly, that you can't see that these words that speak of your superficial condition, actually speak of you and you most particularly]: 18: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

19: As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20: Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21: To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22: He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches
" (Revelation 3: 14-22).

There aren't enough people from within the Adventist Church, who actually are on fire enough, to take the words that have been given especially to us through the prophet, and bring them forth, to set the Church afire by the Holy Spirit, and the proclamation of truth -- present truth -- as to our true condition! If Ellen White were alive today, she would stand "in her place at the end of the days," and tell us that we have become one of the fallen daughters of the Whore of Babylon, and this should have been said long ago!! Our huge edifices and costly array, speak to our spiritual dirth!

Do I say this, because I hate the Church? No, I say this, because I love the Church, and I am so very sick of crying in my Cafelib day after day, and night after night, because I see the immense amount of Babylon that has distilled the message of the Remnant Church in North America, until we have become like all of the Seven Churches, in character, saving the Church that Jesus desires to be awaiting Him at His return: The Church of Philadelphia, that Corporate body, which is just as Yahweh wants her to be -- for she has been prepared like a bride for her Husband, and there is no spot of wrinkle within her! We know we are not that Philadelphia Church, and we are so used to not being her, we've also become too spiritually blind to speak about it! We have become afraid of the truth, and, like Adam and Eve after the Fall, we are all hiding away from God, knowing we should be more than we are, but contented with what we've become, somewhat! After all: who wants to become fanatical?

Was James White a fanatic? Was his wife a fanatic? Well, if they two were true fanatics, I want to be a fanatic too; and I am sick of keeping my own mouth shut, for the Spirit Who dwells within me, is telling me that unless there is corporate repentence, there is going to be corporate ruin!

This is the practice, attitude and character that the Jews had in the first century: [1] [2]. Please accept Ellen White's apology for this:

"The remnant church is called to go through an experience similar to that of the Jews; and the True Witness, who walks up and down in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks, has a solemn message to bear to His people." Ellen G. White, Selected Messages Book 1, page 387.

Brother Shubert:

I have not even read a word of that which has been made a hypertext from your words in reply [noted [1] and [2]], but I have found a wealth of words, which may aid my own understanding concerning our problems, and by the grace of God, may also speak of some valid answers to those problems.

Thank you for bringing these Webpages to light for me, because I am awfully sad at times, when I speak the words that seem to rise from inside me; sad, because I fear I might be speaking incorrectly, or hurting some dear ones who are new within the body, and may see my words of pain, and these hurt, rather than bring him/her to a desire to seek that which we need to be God's remnant today. With a cursery look through some of the titles from these lages you have given, I feel as if the possibility exists that we all should search with great loving desire, to find how best to be all we can be, for Father Yahweh has sent the Spirit, that Jesus' bride become ready!
