Incriminating Court Documents with Legal Review in the Case of Texas Conference Association of Seventh-day Adventists and Richardson Seventh-day Adventist Church verses Eugene Shubert
| This page features an endorsement written by the Senior Pastor of the Richardson church just before Shubert's arrest and a copy of the Church Newsletter written immediately after. Both documents are part of the official court record. The Pastor testified under oath at the pre-trial hearing that he wrote the following and that what he wrote was true at the time it was written. It was read by him into the court record. Note the mention of a six month period. How can that be reconciled with the alleged events of same six month period mentioned in the Plaintiff's Petition?
To Whom it may concern, This is to introduce Eugene Shubert, editor of the Berean Epistle, who has been an exceptional bible student and attendee of our church for the last six months. He is a person of strong moral and spiritual character with a desire to share Christ centered articles, correspondence and current bible studies for any seeker for truth who desires to have a better understanding of the present truths that are available from the bible and the spirit of prophecy for our time. I have been impressed with Eugenes depth of knowledge and application of bible study principles. He has the ability to take the subtleties of truth or others expoused truths and draw it to its ultimate conclusion using the bible and spirit of prophecy. His efforts seem to be for the purpose of: preserving the teachings of traditional Adventism, challenging new teachings that have the potential of being delusive and posing reasonable challenges for his readers to take another look at foregone conclusions. Having read his Everlasting Gospel compilation, and his well presented manuscript The Ends of Time, Notes on The Evolution and Dynamics of Biblical Eschatology, I am confident he and his writings will be an asset to anyone that would respond to an advertisement for articles that he has written or will write. You many feel free to contact me for any further information about Eugene that you may desire. Sincerely yours,
Raymond C. House
By anyone's standards the next document should be called, "Damage Control." The scanned copy of the following can be seen by clicking here.
LOOK OUT FOR Imagine you are standing on a train track and almost imperceptibly your feet begin sending impulses to your brain that their is some movement somewhere in the distance. Eventually your eyes re-focus from the many distractions to gaze down the track. The report, nothing in sight, nothing to worry about. The message your feet are receiving grows stronger and the brain alert continues, but the eyes ignore it, there are to many important things right around you vying for their attention. Suddenly an impulsive message goes shooting up to your brain reporting a definite object moving rapidly in your direction, something on the order of a large machine, metal against metal, air escaping tight places. Again, the eyes scan the tracks ahead, nothing, no worries, no movement. Finally, the body sensory organs that can feel and hear the oncoming danger break through with an overpowering surge that finally jolts the brain to move your body off the tracks, just in time to avoid the ten ton locomotive that defies to take your life. This doesnt sound much like church, but it is all about church. Especially when you see yourself in context with Pauls analogy of the church being a body. Each member is potentially just where God has placed it, each part serves to bring vitality, progress and ultimate success to the whole body. The important point is that the whole body must be heard. In other words, we all need to hear the body talk in order to assure proper response and movement. The eyes cannot take all of the responsibility for the future plans of the church. Neither can the mouth of legs, or the arms. Every part must be heard and every member must speak order for the whole body to follow the Head, Jesus Christ. It is amazing to me that the Lord Jesus Christ has limited His ministry on earth to a bunch of faulty creatures such as ourselves. Yet that is just what He has done. The only way He can allow this, is to make sure that we have ample reason to trust His abilities to do the work of ministry through us. His body, the church on earth and here in Richardson is going to succeed toward His purposes to the extent that we follow His ways and means of carrying out His ministry. If you red 1 Corinthians 12 and Romans 12 you will see very quickly that God is very concerned about the body maintaining unity and oneness of heart. With this in mind: We, the church board and I, have provided a means to hear you, the body, talk. And that is exactly what needs to happen. You are responsible as a member of this body to send proper impulses to the brain so that we, the leaders, can respond appropriately to your area of the body, as big or small as it may seem. As leaders of the body we will only have a clear understanding of the church when we listen to the members of the body express what they are experiencing in the life of the body. Therefore, brethren and sistern, I beseech you, please attend the May Input Session from 3:00 to 5:00, in the place that you have been designated and invited. If for some reason you did not get an invitation, join the group at the church. I will facilitate this group. Dont hesitate to call me if you have any questions at 231-3254 or 231-3280.
