Adventist Pastors Strive for Character Assassination in the Church

It's an honor to be unjustly attacked by a Seventh-day Adventist pastor from the pulpit. Once, Pastor Jose LaPorte, at the Seventh-day Adventist Faith Community Church of Garland, went into a rage in an impromptu sermon, ranting against those he said were tearing down the church, comparing them to Korah, Dathan and Abiram. I felt the victory and blessing of God throughout Pastor LaPorte's irrational sermon. Because LaPorte was screaming into the microphone, the sound system exploded, so he screamed even louder to be heard. The congregation must have been terribly confused. I kept wondering what they thought. I can't imagine anyone understanding his uncontrolled anger. Pastor LaPorte gave every indication of being possessed by a demon. Although LaPorte didn't mention me by name, it was obvious that I was the subject of his wrath.

Why was that pastor so intensely provoked?

The Sabbath School lesson was on 1 Corinthians 6 (which forbids lawsuits) and I really wanted to answer a question posed in the Quarterly. The question asked something amazing like, have you ever been sued? * I, of course, quickly answered with a very short version of http://www.everythingimportant.org/dupery. Someone must have reported me to the Pastor immediately after the Sabbath School class because, just a few minutes later, Pastor LaPorte asked to speak with me, promptly taking me toward the back door of the church and forcibly throwing me out of the building, angrily telling me that he was going to harm me physically and then warned me that if I didn't leave immediately he would call the police and have me arrested. I went along with the assault, just as Jesus submitted to those who abused him.

But it was time for him to ascend the platform to deliver his sermon and I also went back into the church to hear what turned out to be his very surprising tirade. On that very hypocritical and devilish day, the Spirit of prophecy was fulfilled:

"Many will stand in our pulpits with the torch of false prophecy in their hands, kindled from the hellish torch of Satan." Ellen G. White, Testimonies To Ministers and Gospel Workers, pp. 409-410.

At least the leadership of the Richardson Seventh-day Adventist Church had the dignity of announcing a special "Input Session" scheduled for after church to spread slander against me.

* Does anyone have that Quarterly and the courage to confirm the amazing contents? I believe the date was either the last quarter of 1997 or the first quarter of 1998.

Check out Sabbath School Lesson 5 for Wednesday, January 28, 1998 titled, COURTING DISASTER (1 Cor. 6:1-8), and please pay careful attention to the last two sentences.

COURTING DISASTER (1 Cor. 6:1-8).

In many countries today, it seems that everyone is quick to file lawsuits against anyone for anything. In Paul's day, Corinth may not have been so different. Dio Chrysostom, writing about A.D. 100, reports that there were "lawyers innumerable perverting justice." And wealthy and powerful citizens often used the civil courts to dispense injustice against those with less clout. This may be why Paul calls the judges "unjust" (1 Cor. 6:1) and says that the victors in the lawsuits "[do] wrong, and defraud" (1 Cor. 6:8, NRSV).

What further problem developed in the Corinthian Christian community, and what remedy did Paul suggest? 1 Cor. 6:1-8. Review the procedure Jesus commends as appropriate when a Christian believes himself or herself to have been wronged by another Christian. Matt. 18:15-20.

When will believers participate in the judgment of the world and of angels? Matt. 19:28; Luke 22:28-30; Rev. 3:20, 21; 20:4-6.

The issues raised in 1 Corinthians 5-6 are "insider" and "outsider" issues. Should one who is really "outside" be allowed to remain "inside" (1 Cor. 5:1-8)? Should former Christians be treated differently from those who have never been "inside"? (1 Cor. 5:9-13). Is it appropriate for "inside" issues to be taken up in "outside" courts? (1 Cor. 6:1-8).

"Satan is constantly seeking to introduce distrust, alienation, and malice among God's people. We shall often be tempted to feel that our rights are invaded, even when there is no real cause for such feelings. Those whose love for self is stronger than their love for Christ and His cause will place their own interests first and will resort to almost any expedient to guard and maintain them. Even many who appear to be conscientious Christians are hindered by pride and self-esteem from going privately to those whom they think in error, that they may talk with them in the spirit of Christ and pray together for one another. When they think themselves injured by their brethren, some will even go to law instead of following the Saviour's rule."--The Acts of the Apostles, p. 305.

As I hope everyone can plainly see, I'm not complaining about Seventh-day Adventist doctrine. I am only exposing "fruitless deeds of darkness" (Ephesians 5:11) and incredible Seventh-day Adventist hypocrisy.

In Christ's Object Lessons pg. 74 it says, "To punish those who were supposed to be evil-doers, the church has had recourse to the civil power. Those who differed from the established doctrines have been imprisoned, put to torture and to death, at the instigation of men who claimed to be acting under the sanction of Christ. But it is the spirit of Satan, not the Spirit of Christ that inspires such acts. This is Satan's own method of bringing the world under his dominion. God has been misrepresented through the church by this way of dealing with those supposed to be heretics."

I read your other post about the church in Texas' dealings with you. If the leaders would but study they would see that they do not represent Christ but Satan.
