A representation of multiple scenarios and the great controversy theme

Pictures are often commissioned to represent the message of a church, a political movement or website. In the early days of Seventh-day Adventists, for example, James White created a picture to represent the gospel of the Seventh-day Adventist church. See below:

Notice that this picture is dominated by a law tree with ten branches. Notice too that Jesus was included in the picture but that he was not central. This was published in 1876. Then, in 1883, Ellen White published a revised picture:

The ideal picture to represent the Confessing Millerite Adventists would illustrate three angels overpowering three demons. I know of no such artwork. Perhaps when the capstone of the Confessing Millerite Adventists is understood and appreciated, then some artist will be willing to create the perfect illustration for us.

Thanks for that information about the art commissioned by the Whites. I liked learning about that.

As for the Allegory of the Apocalypse by Joseph Heintz The Younger- it is not only vulgar, it tells nothing but lies.
I hope you will find something better.

Many interesting versions of those pictures commissioned by the Whites.

Sometimes beauty and vulgarity are in the mind of the beholder

Why is the Allegory of the Apocalypse by Joseph Heintz The Younger more offensive to you than the representation given in Luke 16:19-31? For an allegory that has no straightforward canonical interpretation, isn't its beauty or its absence of beauty (like vulgarity) in the mind of the beholder?

No. Flatulating horses, demon dragons being poked in the ass with a stick, genitalia (and I don't mean the putti) man lighting farts on fire with torch, other things too filthy to mention.

It's vulgar and offensive in anyone's eye. And the caricatures are blasphemy.

This is a vulgar and disgusting painting. Can you not find something better to represent you website?

I love the pic. I could stare at it for hours. I notice something different every time.
