I'm submitting this as a "Novice Class" post, because this is a question that is only in the back of my mind, but I'd like to shed some light on it.

Where will we live?

"God created man for His own glory, that after test and trial the human family might become one with the heavenly family. It was God's purpose to repopulate heaven with the human family, if they would show themselves obedient to His every word. Adam was to be tested, to see whether he would be obedient, as the loyal angels, or disobedient. . . " {AG 344.2} In essence, we are meant to repopulate Heaven. (Many good things to say surrounding that concept in regard to how we are to conduct ourselves HERE...)

And we also know that God will create a new heaven and a new earth after this one has passed. (Rev 21) We will witness the recreation of this earth...

Where will we live? Jesus said that He is going to prepare a place for us, because in His Father's house, there are many mansions. (John 14:2).

Does that mean that Heaven will be HERE on EARTH? That New Jeruselem will be a place on the Milky Way Galaxy? Is there something I'm assuming that I shouldn't be?

All in all, I trust in God's word, and that we WILL have a place to live. :)

I disagree (although it is foolish to argue about such things). The Bible teaches that this planet will be destroyed by fire:
Quote:
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Pet 3:10. Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 2 Pet 3:12.

With the resurrection of the unjust, this world will be destroyed by fire (the lake of fire), with Satan and all his angels, and sin will remain no more. Hell is a future event.

With regard to where we live:
We will be the living stones that dwell in the temple of our God, in the new heaven and new earth when all things are made new. The Bible says:
Quote:
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. Isa. 65:17.

We will be returned to the original Eden state that God designed for His children. It will be peaceful and lovely, and populated with all God's beautiful creatures.

Quote:
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 1 Cor. 2:9.

The important thing is simply to abide in God's Love by obeying His 2 most important commands:
Quote:
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Matt. 22:37-40.

God gave John visions of the future.. "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and first earth had passed away...and the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, 'Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God.' (Rev 21:1-3)

Everything will be new. We have nothing now to compare it to.
I don't think we can know or even imagine what it will look like. We just know it will be a glorious place. Smile
