Christian Perspective
I think it depends on point of war. Most wars are not good from Christian perspective though we should always try to avoid any wars whether they have a good cause or not.
Human perspective

Put away your sword, Peter: all those who live by the sword shall die by the sword.
My kingdom is not of this world (if it were, my servants would fight for Me)
Be in the world but not of the world.
(Yes, I realize I am (a) paraphrasing and (b) not citing verses, but you all have concordances and can do your own research!)
I find nothing in the New Testament to support war; therefore there is no support for it from a Christian perspective.
Anyone who says otherwise is mistaken. Not according to me, but according to The One. So if you do not agree with the word of God, take it up with Him, do not argue with me.
I do realize this world does not operate in the will of the Divine all the time and because of human conflict we will have wars. Some of these will be (relatively speaking) "just" wars and others will be most decidedly unjust. But since all such definitions are arbitrarily determined by human values, I question the veracity of all of them.

Isn’t your claim rather arrogant? Just because you don’t see any justification, you insist there isn’t any.

Wow! You are so confident of your own opinion that you don’t even want to listen to or discuss possible alternatives!

I did not support going to war with Iraq, nor do I believe today that it was a just war. On the contrary, I think it was an evil war. We were not defending our country, but preemptively striking another country for dubious reasons. In doing so, we killed over 10,000 civilians in what would be considered a very minor war against a weak foe. For so many civilians to be killed is a horendous thing, considering we were "freeing them from tyranny". I believe the motivation to remove Saddam existed before 9/11 and it had nothing to do with the reasons that were given.
Their is an excellant article at this web site regarding the war and speaking to the subject of just and unjust wars: http://pastorstevebrown.com

Iraq war just? Think about this:
1. Build up to war without a clear and present danger towards our nation coming from Iraq.
2. Short-circuiting attempts for peace contrary to war.
3. Rejecting counsel of U.N. that did not see war as the best option at the time, and going to war because of a U.N. resolution that was broken (quite a conflicting idea).
4. Hyping the supposed threat and demonizing Saddam Hussein, including a weak report of Iraq obtaining nuclear weapon iranium or some such thing. (Exaggerating or lying for a hidden motive)
5. Attacking without provocation a sovereign country.
6. Okaying targets within a civilian population in attempts to kill Saddam, which killed many civilians instead. Also targeting other civilian filled areas for unknown reasons, resulting in a high casualty count.
7. Sending American troops and troops from foreign country into a preemptive war against a foe that had not attacked any of the countries involved, causing them to commit murder in mass.
8. Gunning down innocent civilians to "prevent" a possible car bombing without evidence. These orders come from the top.
9. No admission of a "mistake" when evidence to the contrary about weapons of mass destruction not found.
10. Asserting God's blessing on our war that was contrary to the doctrine of a just war.
The heart of this matter has to do with several issues and questions we need to ask ourselves:
1. The "threat" of terrorist attacks on the U.S.: is the threat alone justification for spreading war to other countries?
2. Are we free to invade countries who harbor terrorists? Is this justified?
3. Will we assume that all the military or all of the regime of an opposing country is supporting the terrorists, or just defending their country from invasion by another country when we attack them? Are all the factories that provide military support items subject to destruction, along with all the employees? In other words, are all of the people who oppose our invasion subject to death by U.S. guns, missles, and bombs, regardless of their feelings toward the terrorists based in their country which they may or may not be aware of? If so, is this just cause for their execution?
4. Will destruction and regime change of opposing countries increase or decrease the actual terrorist threat?
5. Will America be more at peace in the world by these actions...is this actually promoting peace or fomenting the opposite and which is our goal?
6. Are you willing to gain the blood of many people on your hands in order to have a more "secure" feeling?
7. Are there other means to defeat terrorism? Does open warfare against an enemy who has no loyalty to the specific piece of land you are fighting on make a lot of sense? Or are these people fighting for arab lands without U.S. influence?
8. What are the goals of the terrorists? Are we committing acts that are unjust or unwise that are provoking this response or not? This question has far more significance than one might imagine. To disregard the beliefs of the terrorists and refuse to understand where they are coming from is not helping the situation, neither from the civilian or military position.
9. What are the goals of our leaders? Are their goals in line with righteous values or are they simply nationalistic, or worse, selfish, or mixed?
10. Were it up to you to defend your country, would you personally be willing to go to Iraq and kill their insurgent people, even though they have not invaded your country, nor were they responsible for 9/11? Is your attitude just?
11. Are you comfortable sending U.S. men and women into harm's way so that the Iraqis can have a democracy? Is that what they signed up for? Or was it to "defend and protect the U.S. of America"?
12. If we leave Iraq in June, will the new regime be worth the blood that was shed to obtain it...remember, this was President Bush's main goal, "regime change"? And if it was, are you willing to do it all over again in Iran and North Korea, the next targets of this adminsitration in the "axis of evil"?
13. Is it okay to just forget about the whole thing and simply say, "things are supposed to get worse and worse before the end, so what does it matter? This is just a fulfilling of prophecy." Keep in mind that even though the destruction of Jerusalem was prophesied by Jeremiah, there were still those who opposed Jeremiah and brought judgment on themselves and there were those who responded in humility that saved their lives. _________________ "Just when you think you have a handle on it...it moves."
