Eugene,

The dream is not clear to me. None whatsoever. It is insignificant.

I suggest that it is nothing more than a dream. It appears to be about as significant as the dreams that I had last night (which, by the way, I don’t even remember).

Eugene, what is the calling of the Lord Jesus Christ for you life, if you know? Every man has a calling and a purpose. We’re either in search of our calling or we’ve found it and we’re fulfilling it with zest and vigor.

    2 Tim 1:9
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

    Rom 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

I already answered that.

By faith and prophetic understanding, I believe that I have been appointed to bring about the fulfillment of William Miller’s dream (See, Early Writings of Ellen G. White p. 81-83). In the dream William Miller is vindicated. —It didn’t happen to William Miller. The second half of the dream foretells an experience fulfilled largely by me.

If there is something you don’t understand, it’s insignificant? That sounds like a reckless hermeneutic. Do you believe that your principle, whatever it is, qualifies as a righteous judgment? See John 7:24.

    Posted by me again:
    Eugene Shurbert’s dream is insignificant.
    Replied by Eugene Shurbert:
That sounds like a reckless hermeneutic.
You’re mixing apples and oranges. Your dream has nothing to do with the scriptures and, subsequently, with hermeneutics.

Besides, it was just a dream and nothing more. Wake up! 8O

Me again,

If you are so sure that Eugene's dream is insignificant, she would certainly challenge you to describe a dream that you have had that is more significant. She doubts you can, otherwise you would have described it.

Using this simple logic, Eugene's dream is more significant than anything you have ever dreamed, you "little helper."

Ms. Gray,

That is a big task! I once had a dream of a global government being established by a spiritual power that seizes control of the world. But hey, who is to say that my dream is any more important than Eugene's dream where a horse was seated next to him in the backseat of a car?

I'm still having difficulty visualizing a seated horse in the back seat of a car. Can a horse sit in a car seat?

If I may, I would like to paste the following from the thread WHO AM I? In answer to Eugene's claim to have received a vision from God.

Its all very interesting BUT I need to hear the whole message to see for myself if it harmonizes with the most precious message the Lord sent to His people over a century ago. I am talking about the message that was to illuminate the whole earth. The 1888 message!

As far as the meaning of Miller's dream is concerned, I believe it to be rather clear and simple. The gems and diamonds found in the casquet and that fell on the floor to be covered with dirt, represent precious truths--pillars of the advent faith--which were to be compromised and repudiated by the leadership of the church in order to gain the approval of the WCC but that the latter rain would resurrect them all with added light and then they would be made to shine brighter than ever and the earth would be lightened with the glory of these stupendous truths!

Any man who claims to have received a message from God today will be willing to have his message brought to the test of the 1888 message. Plus, he will understand that "there will never again be a message for the people of God that will be based on time. We are not to know the definite time either for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit or for the coming of Christ... God has not revealed to us the time when the loud cry will close or when probation will have an end." 1 S.M.188,191.

Fair enough???

Eugene,

Your dream doesn't make since! You didn't explain your dream! You also said your dream was the rest of William Miller's dream, but William Miller's dream doesn't have a horse in it!

Another thing for a person sent by God you seem to have an "I" issue.
"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Gal. 2:20

Eugene, Its not you! It Christ which shows and teaches you!
Give God the glory for the things he hath done!
