The Spiritualism of Adventism
This article is primarily about modern spiritualism as it is generally accepted in Adventism and taught by well-beloved teachers like A. Graham Maxwell. What awakening message should be preached to fight against it? |

| In Servants or Friends? Another Look at God, chapter 9, Maxwell claims that "Jesus went out to Calvary to answer questions about the ultimate consequence of sin." Apparently, Maxwell's greatest joy is in the details of death. How does a cruel and ignominious demonstration and an accompanying dark and stupefying gospel of death save me? According to New Age spiritualists, "the crucifixion was the last useless journey the Sonship need take." If Maxwell and the channeled demons he agrees with are right [1], then I can't think of a more useless demonstration. I believe that Adam and Eve proved that sin results in death. |
