I studied Ellen G. White for quite a few years before I studied the Jehovah Witnesses another few years, all of which were about 20 or so sects of Christianity before I realized people are not supposed to be Christ and until full revelation comes, no man has the full revelation.

Ellen G. White is a great lady (God of the living and all that) but she didnt understand the SABBATH REST or the Jewish Sabbath, of which either would have been more true if one wants to KEEP a Sabbath at all.

I love her love for the Savior though and kept her booklets around for inspiration for many years.

God is not in one ORGANIZATION, for the whole world is his and the fullness thereof. Even the Jews have more understanding of Gods exclusivity than this and they believe no one knows it like they do;

SECTS and DEMONIATIONS are for the benefit of looking at all the parts you might have missed while you were hanging out with your friends in Church rather than getting to know God better, but they are not to get stuck in, but to learn from and LET THE SPIRIT MOVE YOU as he wills, like the wind. For everyone born of God has NO PLACE TO LAY HIS HEAD; no doctrines that they can depend on, but GOD HIMSELF as revealed in his WHOLE WORD that must fit together like a PATTERN that most sects simply are not given in any COMPLETE way.

well, I know I will be put in the pit for this, but just delete it; its not really worth putting in the pit if you didnt get it; it was truly meant for those who think a particular sect holds the truth, rather than the WORD OF GOD.

While I agree with you that there is no one denomination that knows everything, there CAN be one that has truth and there are without a doubt doctrines that CAN be depended on.

I must disagree with your view of denominations. The primary purpose for the different denominations is for the gathering together of common believers. Those who agree are drawn to one another for fellowship and to be spiritually fed. While some denominations only create more confusion and problems there are without a doubt churches out there that create peace and spread truth and love.

The church I am currently attending has a full force on fire CHRISTIAN pastor. Not just some guy who took theology in college because he thought it would be a cool job! (that happens) Our church is involved in community out reaches and witnessing the Gospel to people in our area.

I am curious as to why you feel that E.G. White didn't understand the Sabbath. What do you think it should be seen as?

Also, the Bible is clear that in the end times there will be ONE body of believers that stand against the Beast and the False Prophet. That doesn't mean one denomination per say, but it does mean that they are in agreement with one another. Which tends to indicate, at least, a group within one denomination.

And finally, you are right that God is not in just one denomination. God is where HIS people are. There are people in every denomination and even some who do not even attend church who are His.

Peace

I believe you misunderstand the purpose of Ellen White. Her purpose was never to start a new denomination, but to DECLARE A MESSAGE. A message that had many aspects. From the state of the dead, the Sabbath, the second coming of Christ, the heavenly sanctuary teaching and the importance of living holy living, in the here and now. Because of what she said and wrote, she amassed a following of people who believed her MESSAGE. A message that was believed to be from God for the people of this ENTIRE earth. God used this little woman as one of the greatest visionaries of all time.

True, Seventh Day Adventist are a denomination.But they are a denomination that grew out of the proclamation of a message from Ellen White's words and pen. So Seventh Day Adventists are also proclaimers of a message for these last days. It is UNIQUE and not easily accepted by most people in society today. Because it follows no known creeds of established churches, but solely the bible alone. It is very true that other faiths like the Jehovah Witnesses, Baptists, Methodists and Pentecostals all claim to follow the bible. But do they really? When you really get down and STUDY these other denomination's teachings, do they really agree with Ellen White's message to the world? Or do they all disagree? Somebody must be right? How can you really know for sure? There is only one way. And that is to examine the WHOLE bible on what a teaching says. The message of Mrs White begins with the garden of Eden and ends with our Lord's coming. ALL her stated beliefs are BIBLICALLY supported.Most other denominations only go as far as just believing in Jesus.Most people want a "easy religion" that doesn't require alot of effort and bible study on their part. But is that the message for today? You tell me. God Bless.
