What do you think about this?????
Somebody said:
The problem here is that you are taking Mat 5:18 literally, rather than figuratively. "Till heaven and earth pass" is a proverbial expression signifying "till the end of the age", or is another way of saying "never" in the popular sense.
We know that the earth will not pass away, for Psalm 104:5 states, "He [God] set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved."
Also, Psalm 93:1 says, "The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved." (repeated in Psa 93:10)
And Ecclesiastes 1:4 "One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever."
So if Scripture does not contradict Scripture, then we know that the earth will not explode and disappear, or be destroyed and stripped of all life. If this is the case with earth, then the same can be said of the heavens.
If you prefer to reject my explanation, and hold to a literal interpretation of Mat 5:18, then you will have to explain how every star in the sky, along with all the planets and even God's dwelling place will "pass away"
Maybe somebody can tell me is this correct or not.

Proverb:4:7: Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
Matt. 24.35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
24.36
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Luke 21.33
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
21.34
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
21.35
For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Rev. 21.1
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
1 Peter 3.10
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
3.11
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
3.12
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
3.13
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Point one: the word "heaven" has multiple meanings. Which meaning is it speaking of.
a) the heaven where God lives (the third heavens 2 Cor. 12:2)
b) outer space where the stars and contellations are (Isaiah 13:10)
c) the earth's atmosphere (the birds fly in the heavens Jer. 4:25)
I believe it is the earth's atmosphere that will pass away.
Point two
Is the Bible contradicting itself when it says the earth will not be moved in one text, and when it says the earth will pass away in other texts?
No-- the globe itself will not pass away-- it will be purified with fire and everything on it will pass away and the earth will be recreated--made new.
