Walking in the light
I sent a message to a friend today concernig your question which I will copy a few word from that letter.

Dear friend you asked how Christ was conceived through Mary?
Yes, it is true Christ is begotten of the Holy Spirit as the bible states in Luke 1, but He is not conceived of Himself. At that time, the Spirit (omnipresence) of the Father overshadowed Mary, giving her a Son who was both divine and human.

There is no question, Jesus (the Son of mary) is also the Son of God. He was born of God and of humanity. This is true. However, to fulfil the words of the prophet in 1 Selected Messages p 226.7, Christ needed to already be a Son to be able to be a Son in a new sense in His human birth. This is where my feet are planted -- Christ was begotten of the Father in eternity, and "in a new sense" was begotten at Bethlehem. (Or conception) Your conclusion that Jesus conceived HImself is not the only conclusion that one can arrive at, and I suggest you go to the Word and continue your study. God will reveal the truth if you are willing to listen to His Word.

We must remember that the Father is the divine Source of the Spirit, which He gave to Jesus, and He gives to us.This is Scriptural all the way!! According to the Bible, when we receive the Spirit, we receive the Father and the Son. We can say we receive either and it is correct. But because Jesus has been given the responsibility of salvation, it is more correct to say we have the Spirit of Christ, and the Spirit of Christ dwells in us. Col 1:27. The nature of the Spirit we cannot explain, except as we quote Scripture and Spirit of Prophecy, that it is the personal presence of Christ, therefore a Person.
But again those words in PP 36 is all I need to see this truth "the King declared that NONE but Christ, the ONLY begotten of God, could fully enter into His purposes."

Forum members it's the hirling shepherds in Adventist have tried to sell us out in more ways than one!! And with us knowing this it should drive us to our knees more then ever.
