Ernie Knoll, the false prophet

Postby Eugene Shubert » Wed Jan 21, 2009 8:19 am

Ernie Knoll wrote:The Herald turns to me and says, "It is important that His people understand while it is important that we are to return a tithe to God’s storehouse, it is equally important that they understand what the funds are being used for. If an individual is providing funds and they understand that the funds are not being used according to His will, that person will be held accountable. The Great Creator has said to pay a tribute to those who do His bidding. The Herald explains that many tributes are used toward Lucifer’s work of using spiritualism from within God’s church by those who collect and place the funds in a storehouse. The Herald says, "That is not God’s storehouse. Those that give a tribute will be able to see the blessing they give in faith when it is placed in God’s storehouse." STAND FAST, February 5, 2008.

I believe that Ernie Knoll should be respected for recognizing spiritualism in the Seventh-day Adventist church. How many Seventh-day Adventist educators or administrators in the church hierarchy have the vision to see it and the courage to say it? I believe it's common sense that Seventh-day Adventists shouldn't be supporting spiritualism. The real issue is that Seventh-day Adventist leaders are not more righteous than false prophets, that Ernie Knoll's attending angel has a poor command of the English language and that he sounds exactly like Ernie Knoll.

This is my first post here - so I hope I am not off base... so here goes.

Good points made in the OP above. As for writing style - have you considered Ellen White's testimony about Fannie Bolton (her lead writer) and how delighted she was to have such a well accomplished true "writer" on her staff?

Fannie then went on to charge that the writing style that everyone is so delighted with - is actually hers. Ellen White never denied the point on "writing style" but she urged that the content of the message was still hers.

In your post above - you reference writing style and language. Which simply reminds me of the historic dispute between Ellen White and Fannie Bolton.

Bob

I found a great link on your website talking about people being like Jewish Pharisees when it comes to denying new light --

Here are some quotes from Eugen Shubert's list -

"No matter by whom light is sent, we should open our hearts to receive it with the meekness of Christ. But many do not do this. When a controverted point is presented, they pour in question after question, without admitting a point when it is well sustained. O, may we act as men who want light! May God give us His Holy Spirit day by day, and let the light of His countenance shine upon us, that we may be learners in the school of Christ." GW 301.

"But as real spiritual life declines, it has ever been the tendency to cease to advance in the knowledge of the truth. Men rest satisfied with the light already received from God’s word, and discourage any further investigation of the Scriptures. They become conservative, and seek to avoid discussion." GW 297-298.

"It is a grievous sin in the sight of God for men to place themselves between the people and the message that He would have come to them as some of our brethren are now doing. There are some who, like the Jews, are doing their utmost to make the message of God of none effect. Let these doubting, questioning ones either receive the light of the truth for this time, or let them stand out of the way, that others may have an opportunity of receiving the truth, that the wrath of God may not come on them because they are bodies of darkness, when He desires them to be bodies of light.
"Those who live just prior to the second appearing of Christ may expect a large measure of His Holy Spirit. If God has ever spoken by me, some of our leading men are going over the same ground of refusing the message of mercy as the Jews did in the time of Christ. If they turn away from the light, they will fail to meet the high and holy claims of God for this important time. They will fail to fulfill the sacred responsibility that He has entrusted to them.
"The character and prospects of the people of God are similar to those of the Jews, who could not enter in because of unbelief. Self-sufficiency, self-importance, and spiritual pride separated them from God, and He hid His face from them. . . .
"The Jews despised the good that was proffered them in the time of Christ, and after the long forbearance of God, the things that were for their peace were hidden from their eyes—that which, if received, would have been to them their greatest blessing became their stumbling block. Thus it is today among us. . . .
"The light of truth is shining upon us as clearly as it shone upon the Jewish people, but the hearts of men are as hard and unimpressible as in the days of Christ, because they know not what they oppose. Many who claim to be standing in the light are in darkness, and know it not. They have so enshrouded themselves in unbelief that they call darkness light, and light darkness. They are ignorant of that which they condemn and oppose. But their ignorance is not such as God will excuse, for He has given them light, and they reject it. They have before them the example of the past, but they will not be warned, and unbelief is enclosing them in impenetrable darkness. They refuse to accept the testimonies they ought to believe, and are ready to accept tidbits of gossip and testimonies of men, showing their credulousness and readiness to believe that which they want to believe." 11MR 286-287.

"Those who allow prejudice to bar the mind against the reception of truth cannot receive the divine enlightenment. Yet, when a view of Scripture is presented, many do not ask, Is it true—in harmony with God’s word? but By whom is it advocated? and unless it comes through the very channel that pleases them, they do not accept it. So thoroughly satisfied are they with their own ideas that they will not examine the Scripture evidence with a desire to learn, but refuse to be interested, merely because of their prejudices.
"The Lord often works where we least expect Him; He surprises us by revealing His power through instruments of His own choice, while He passes by the men to whom we have looked as those through whom light should come. God desires us to receive the truth upon its own merits—because it is truth." TM 105-106.

" Even Seventh-day Adventists are in danger of closing their eyes to truth as it is in Jesus, because it contradicts something which they have taken for granted as truth but which the Holy Spirit teaches is not truth." TM 70-71.
"Sin lies at the door of those who do not allow their ignorance to be expelled by the rays of light from God’s word. They are doing what the Jews did in the days of Christ, — teaching for doctrine the commandments of men. By their actions they say, We do not wish to be disturbed. Let us alone. Do not disturb our peace. To God’s messengers, sent to them with words of warning and reproof, they say, ‘Art thou he that troubleth Israel?’ " RH, Aug. 9, 1898.

"Those who have not tasted of the rich blessing of God will make little of the blessings that others have received. The light which God is giving to His people may be slighted, refused, rejected, but it is thus treated at great peril to men's souls. Brethren, God is working for us, and I feel deeply in earnest that not one ray of heaven-sent light may be regarded with indifference. God's communication to man is to be appreciated and cherished. If we do not appreciate the light of heaven, it will be our condemnation; our position will be similar to that of the Jews when they rejected the Lord of life and glory." Sermons and Talks Volume One, p. 89.

"I have been shown that Jesus will reveal to us precious old truths in a new light, if we are ready to receive them; but they must be received in the very way in which the Lord shall choose to send them. With humble, softened hearts, with respect and love for one another, search your Bibles. The light may not come in accordance with plans that men may devise. But all who reverence the Word of God just as it reads, all who do His will to the best of their ability, will know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, notwithstanding the efforts of the enemy to confuse minds and to make uncertain the Word of God. God calls every man’s attention to His living Oracles. Let no one quench the Spirit of God by wresting the Scriptures, by putting human interpretations upon His inspired Word; and let no one pursue an unfair course, keep in the dark, not willing to open their ears to hear and yet free to comment and quibble and sow their doubts of that which they will not candidly take time to hear.

"Let men be careful how they handle the Word of inspiration, which has been preserved for ages through the power of God. If men were themselves controlled by the Holy Spirit they would bring heart and soul to the task, searching and digging in the mines of God for precious ore. They would be eager to come into harmony with the writings of inspired men. If they are not controlled by the Spirit of God, they will give evidence of this by caviling over His word and by sitting in judgment upon its teachings just as did the Jews." 1888, p. 167.

"When the Jews took the first step in the rejection of Christ, they took a dangerous step. When afterward evidence accumulated that Jesus of Nazareth was the Messiah, they were too proud to acknowledge that they had erred. So with the people of our day who reject the truth. They do not take time to investigate candidly, with earnest prayer, the evidences of the truth, and they oppose that which they do not understand. Just like the Jews, they take it for granted they have all the truth, and feel a sort of contempt for anyone who should suppose they had more correct ideas than themselves of what is truth. All the evidence produced they decide shall not weigh a straw with them, and they tell others that the doctrine is not true, and afterward, when they see as light evidence they were so forward to condemn, they have too much pride to say ‘I was wrong’; they still cherish doubt and unbelief, and are too proud to acknowledge their convictions. Because of this, they take steps that lead to results of which they have never dreamed." 1888, p. 169.

"Will they do as did the self-righteous Pharisees? Will they meet argument with ridicule, jest, and sarcasm? Will they say of the light-bearer as the Pharisees did of the world’s Redeemer, ‘He hath a devil’? Will they be ready to forbid his message, ‘because he followeth not with us’? Will the messenger whom the Lord shall send with special light be treated with ridicule and contempt, as Paul was treated by the heathen, who said, ‘Let us hear what this babbler hath to say’?" HM, Sept. 1, 1894.

"There is danger that when the Lord shall send his people special light, they will also place themselves on the side of the Pharisees." HM, Sept. 1, 1894.
"The same spirit of resistance is to be found even among those who claim to believe the truth for this time." 9MR 183.

Many thanks to Eugene for that list.

It does not prove that a given person is right or wrong who claims to be a prophet - but it shows how we should seriously carefully study to know if that is the case in a given claim.

I myself find Ernie Knoll's claim to be valid when I compare it to scripture itself and earnestly avoid the tendency of soooo many to simply "make stuff up" when it comes to a test of a prophet.

What is Ernie Knoll's message?

Postby Eugene Shubert » Mon Jul 06, 2009 6:50 pm

Bob,

You listed this one Spirit of prophecy statement among the many others as an argument that we should all be open to new light: "There are some who, like the Jews, are doing their utmost to make the message of God of none effect." This forum was specially created to disseminate messages from God and I certainly don't want to censor anyone that is halfway credible. Please tell me what you believe is the most impressive bit of new information or significant key focus that Ernie Knoll has presented thus far.

Good question Eugene. As with the case of the dream that Steve reported on this board -- I needed to read his statement all the way through to get a good first hand look at what was being proposed as an inspired dream. Several of the quotes in your list demanded that I read the material through carefully before coming to my decision.

I think that is also a great first step with Ernie Knoll as well - because in the end each reader must decide for themsevles.

Having said that - I myself found his focus to be very much centered on repentance, reformation, preparing for the Latter Rain, returning to a serious focus on what is needed to be a sanctified vessel for receiving the latter rain, the nearness to completion of the sealing work, rejection of some very specific aspects of celebration music (repetition in the lyrics for example), the emphasis that Joe Crews placed on diet reform, information about the destruction of dozens/hundreds of cities world wide (via what looks like natural diasters) bringing in the national Sunday laws way before the close of probation, a renewed focus on heaven (in accordance with Peter's statement to fix our hope completely on the grace to be brought to us at the revelation of Jesus Christ), errors in the tithing structure, the introduction of spiritualism into the church ... The fact that Ellen White's "not one in 20" and then "not one in 100" has now gone down to "not one in 1000".

Anyway you get the idea.

Ellen White introduced no new doctrine and neither does Ernie Knoll. That is not the function of an extra-biblical prophet. But they do focus a lot on on-the-ground immediate directives to God's people about upcoming events and details.

Still - the crux of the matter rests in actually reading the material and going through the prayerful spirit-filled exercise you listed in that compilation of quotes from Ellen White.

Bob

Candace – conversion to Christianity - 2007

http://www.4hispeople.com/candace.htm

FROM CANDACE – November 2007

[Note: This is an edited version of an amazing testimony from a former prostitute who is now a follower of Jesus Christ.]

Greetings to Everyone:
On June 20 I was working in the evening. I was a prostitute. I had been working the streets since I was 16. The reason I started at that age is not as important as where I am now. I was a heavy drug user. Mostly crack. I drank a lot. I still am battling with cigarettes. This is the really hard part that I have shared with many of my friends who are no longer my friends but some have accepted what I have shared with them to be truth. I do not share this for you to look at me but to look at Jesus, as He is the one who forgave me in the life I was walking and now walk in a new way.

I was on my corner when a man in a convertible said he would like to speak with me. I said, “Sure.” I climbed in and we began driving. He looked over at me and called me Candace. I was shocked and thought the worst. He then said, “Do not be afraid.” He began to explain to me that he had been sent to give me a message and that message was from Jesus Christ. He told me that Jesus is coming and that He wants me to get ready to go to heaven. I was very scared and told the man that I did not want to die. The man said, “Do not be afraid because no harm will come to you.”

The man pulled into a shopping center parking lot and stopped. He told me that there is a man that is receiving messages from Jesus and that this very night Jesus would show him the importance of the cross that He died on. This man told me the man’s name is Ernie Knoll, that he has been receiving dreams from Jesus and that the dreams can be read on a web site http://www.4hispeople.com/dreams.html . He told me the web site and I wrote it down. Then the man told me to find a TV show called “It Is Written” with Shawn Boonstra and another TV show called “Amazing Facts” with Doug Batchelor and that these men will teach me what I need to know. I wrote down these TV shows and their names. Then the man said that these three men have been selected by Jesus to do an important work together for Him, that I was to change the way I live and that Jesus is coming to take me to heaven. The man said to keep watching for Jesus, that there is much to learn and this is a good place to start.

The man then got out of the car and walked around to my door and opened it so I could get out. He pointed toward the buildings and said that there was a meeting going on in there and they would help me with my questions. He said he was to leave but for me to walk in the new way in which I was shown. As I looked at the man, he had the way that he looked change right before me and I fell to my knees and began crying. I watched as I saw this man change into a bright being of light. I watched as he had wings that somehow came out from behind him and he flew up and away.

After a few minutes I got up and noticed there was no car there. I started walking to the place in the shopping center where there was a religious meeting going on. I went in, sat down and tried to listen but I was numb and shaking from what had just happened. After the meeting ended I spoke to several of the people there and they made me feel welcome. They gave me a Bible and a book called The Great Controversy. …

Ernie Knolls – SDA elder. Dec 14, 2007 Tells of having an inspired dream.

Warning about world wide destruction of cities
http://www.4hispeople.com/StandFast.htm

The angel stands up and says to hold fast to my courage, as he will now show me things which must happen. He again says he has much to show me. We begin walking through the corridor wall. On the other side I find we are at a very high altitude in the sky, as if we are a bird flying, watching our country. I see destruction unfold on the face of the earth. {3} Great round burning objects hit certain cities which destroy all who live there. These round objects cause the earth to shake. Other cities hundreds and hundreds of miles away from where those cities were destroyed begin to shake and the buildings fall, crashing to the ground. I see explosions of immense heat and fire emerging from the ground. What looks like liquid fire runs through many areas. This liquid consumes everything in its path. I see fire shoot up in the sky as if it were a fountain of water, except it is burning. {4} All across the country I see certain cities with unfathomable destruction.

Even though I cannot see other parts of the world, I know the things I see in front of me are happening there as well. In order to see better, we descend closer to a certain city. I watch as vehicles on highways and interstates crash. The roads that the cars and trucks are traveling on open up into crevasses. It is as if the road is pulled apart. In other areas I see the roads begin to crunch together and the pavement stack up on top of each other, becoming pavement on top of pavement. We turn and I see large airports. The runways disappear into the earth. The airplanes have no place to land. I am now taken to other areas that are not as densely populated, and the people there are unharmed. There are many towns and cities that are not destroyed. I ask the angel if I may tell which cities. He answers, "No, that is not permitted." He explains that each must learn the guidance of the Holy Spirit concerning where God would have them live. He then says, "Come, I have more to show you."

The angel and I return to the corridor and pause for a little while. He explains, "His people are to understand that the next thing I show you must happen. God is in control." We pass through the wall and I am now watching many funerals all at the same time. I know that many elderly people have been laid to rest. I am also shown that many infants and small children are laid to rest. The Herald Angel explains that this is in God’s love, that it should be understood they are laid to rest so they will not have to endure the time that is upon us. {5} I watch as mothers say goodbye to their newborn or young children…

I believe this confession, copied from http://www.ernieknoll.org/ernieknoll.htm, puts an end to our debate:

07/17/2009 - NOTICE FROM ERNIE: We know this will come as a shock, but we have come to believe that the dreams are not of God. Even though there was truth in them, there was also error. We believe that Candace may have been an evil angel. I also received personal dreams that were obviously not from God. We will be putting a notice on our website soon. Our future meetings have been cancelled. ... Thank you.

Satan knows his time is short and is working to deceive even the very elect. We are so sorry and pray that the Lord will guide us into all truth.

Love & prayers
Ernie & Becky

Sadly, Ernie Knoll is still pretending that he didn't fabricate everything and is now blaming his deception on a demon.

I am a former member of the SDA church, I left because the non-recognition of Ernie Knoll as God's messenger, and the SDA's refusal to let him speak in (at least North America). I believe he is a true prophet or messenger of God, just like Ellen G. White was a true prophet or messenger of God.

Please note that EG White is not alive, and cannot defend her original writings, and I do believe they have been "doctored" by the SDA leadership.

Ernie Knoll is told in his dreams the SDA church will stand the shaking which (in my view already occuring), and will come out the better for it.

I also have no trouble in sending a tithe into Ernie Knoll, I know he is doing God's will. The SDA church hiarchy is msusing the tithe money, as well as other money that is being sent in.

As the old saying goes, "It will come out in the wash", or you could also say the truth will come out no matter what.

Ernie Knoll is not the only one God is working directly through, since the SDA hiarchy is blatently refusing to do God's will.
My prayers are that we all walk with Jesus, as our Lord and Saviour. :)

June 23-July 3rd Big Peach prophecy did not fail. It was stated God the Father might not let this occur. New website http://www.formypeople.org/En/index.shtml

Next the men walk over and face a giant peach, then turn toward
many people who bow and kneel in front of them. Many repeatedly
chant, “Teach us, oh enlightened ones, for we listen and you will tell
us what we are to do.” I now rise further into the air and see the men
again face the giant peach. Turning to the right, I see a large rock
come down and smash the giant peach. The rock disappears and I
see what looks like many small pieces of burning coal fall from the air
and burn up the area where the peach was. The peach as well as all
the men and those that kneeled are gone.
The Herald, who has been holding my hand the whole time, calls me

knows all to no end knows what would be best, and He might not

Please name a Bible prophet that recounts the details of a dream or vision where the attending angel is uncertain about the heavenly revelation and cheapens it by saying, "It might not happen."

Next, try to remove all the maybes that Ernie Knoll has written and also erase all of his rephrasing of Ellen White’s testimonies and then clearly see that Ernie Knoll is indeed the Prophet of Emptiness.

And that reminds me of a very stern judgment: An angel said, "Are all messengers?" Another answered, "No, no; God's messengers have a message." {EW 50.1}
