Re: Use this thread to introduce yourself, if you like
Hi Searching,
I've lived just north of Dallas Texas for 20 years now and all the independent SDAs in Texas that I ever knew, which match your particular stripe, all go to the regular Adventist churches but have their own get-togethers on Sabbath afternoons. I don't believe that you'll find any that have started their own churches. The only possible exception to that would be the surviving remnant of the Waco cult, which makes it on the news now and then, but they would probably regard you as too fanatical, rude and cultic.

Greetings,
Just a quick note to say hi, hello, how are you and here's where I'm coming from.
I've studied the teachings of and/or attended the 7th Day Adventist, Baptist, Pentacostal, Assembly of God and Methodist churches over the years and, though I do not consider myself a member of any, I do feel that if denominational teachings are lain aside in favor of the basic core of the Gospel then I feel at home in any church I might attend. If I had to choose it would be:
I Corinthians 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
Also, rarely, if ever, anymore do I use secondary texts, commentaries, if you will; for I have found these to be little more than just another man's search for the Truth of God and if I am going to place my life in another's teachings it will not be that of anohter man but of Jesus Christ and that is to be found within the Word of God.
Finally, while I regard the entire Word of God contained within the Bible I do not regard the Bible to be the Word of God for anything sinful fallen man has touched has been marred and this includes that which is published as "the Bible". As an example of this we have the Nimrodian Universalist thinking that the Catholic Church instilled into the scriptures and upon the Reformation, found its way into the Protestant teachings; hence the conccept of eternal torment.
I trust this has not turned anyone off and that we can share lively studies into God's Word.

Men like the opinions to which they have become accustomed from their youth;
they defend them and shun contrary views; and this is one of the things that prevent men from finding the truth, for they cling to the opinions of habit.-Rambam

I'm Richard Lewis from Bible Group Pickings
I was hoping that I could have a lending hand from a volunteer or two from the Seventh Day Adventists to aid some articles on the faith of the SDA. Please contact me at editor2009@live.co.uk for details.
Last month, we had just over 250 visitors to our site.
Thank you.

I am new here - and a long time Seventh-day Adventist. I find this site to be very interesting so far.
Of course I can't help but like a site whose administrator is able to see the flaws in Graham Maxwell's material - so maybe I am a bit biased.
in Christ,
Bob

The post previous to mine here was written 6 days before (viz., April 11, 2011 A.D.) my (third) mother couldn't stand and walk much any more due to what became a fatal shooting committed against her approximately 50 years before that date (I know as I was in her womb at the time of that shooting).
The 18 months following that April 11th led me to the unsealing of the Book of Daniel, first in private revelation, and then in public revelation.
The seeming simple things that happened to open and unseal such prophecy are actually quite complex, but has, through the grace of God, led me to the final leg of a countdown to the completion of the 2,300 evenings and mornings of Daniel 8:14.
The countdown has about 6 hours less than 223 days remaining.
On the 58th day after the 2,300 days began (though I wasn't as precise as to the count down / up at the time), I was attacked by the king of the south, exactly as foretold in Daniel 11:40, a necessary factor to confirm "the time of the end". (It is almost amazing how the 'classical' interpretations regarding Daniel 11 fail on this 'built-in' confirmation, I say "almost amazing" as I find those 'classical' interpretations to actually be demonic and satanic in character / nature.)
That attack, basically, continues unabated until this day, though I'm wary enough to be thankful that it hasn't been worse.
That's the short version of the how and why as to why I religiously do the only accurate and correct daily update to something foretold to be more than 2,500 years ago.
As to what will happen, there is much more than I have written to answer that question, and much of that is also additional prophecy which must be tried.
Regular updates to the countdown to the Day of the Lord by the sign of the Son of Man in Heaven at :

I find this site to be one of the best, very interesting, all that sort of stuff, and I am not against peaceful dialogue.
